I believe everyone has a creative side. It may not be obvious like a dancer, or musician but I do think we all have something that can define us as creative.

I think I have always been a creative person, I have many memories from when I was younger that would definitely qualify as creative. When I was younger no matter where I went I had to be wearing the colors of the rainbow and that’s all I would never wear blacks, greys, or whites. Every morning during kindergarten I would sit in my living room watching barney and my mom would pick my outfit for me. If it wasn’t colorful I wouldn’t wear it, it go to the point where I started picking out my own outfits and wouldn’t let my mom dress me. That was a very bad idea… I would show up to school wearing pink socks, jeans with different colored flowers on them and a jacket that almost never matched. I would have to say this was pretty creative of me; part of my definition of creativity is being original. Looking back at pictures from when I was in kindergarten my outfits were always different from the rest so I’d say I was original and showed creativity.       

            I would have to say this might have been my first successful creative act. It was definitely different and looking back I think I looked ridiculous since all the girls are wearing sundresses, the boys are nicely dressed and there I was, a colorful disaster. But when you think of creativity it’s about going out and doing something others wouldn’t do. It’s also about not caring about what others think and not being afraid to show your creative side. All in all I think by dressing like this at such a young age it taught me that I shouldn’t care what others think and to always be who I want to be even id its different; because different is good and creative.

            In conclusion, I think creativity is important and a trait everyone has but doesn’t always show it. Creativity it was makes us unique if we were all the same it would be boring. I think creative people also inspire others to make a difference in them selves and look at things more differently. To conclude, creativity is what makes this world go on, without it everything would stay the same.
