After reading through some of my
peer’s blogs I found a lot of good college level questions. I believe a good
question is something that’s not just a yes or no question. A good question is
when your mind really needs to think about it and evaluate/ analyze it. One of
the blogs that I thought did a great job coming up with questions was http://samanthamonaco.blogspot.com/2013/11/11a-its-college-now-what-questions-are.html
I thought
Sam had asked very good questions; I liked them because they had more than one
part to them. So it was kind of like two questions in one. For example, one of
the questions she asked was “In the article, "A Short Lesson In Perspective" the
author speaks about the "overnight-test". What is your take on this
test? Do you believe it's an overall good tool or not? Provide evidence from
the article to support your answer.” She had asked two questions within the
same topic and then asked for supporting evidence within the article. This type
of question requires you to think hard about your answer and take you time by
going back and analyzing the article.
Another thing we had to do was
answer one out of the four questions we had. Looking through everyone’s blogs I
found quite a few good answers but was that stood out to me was http://paige2017.blogspot.com/2013/11/11a-inquiry-based-questions.html Paige as well had good
questions but I liked how she answered her own because you could tell a lot of
thought went into it. She had used examples in her answer. She also pulls out a
quote from one of the articles to help her answer the question to support her reasoning.
To conclude, I think Sam and Paige
did a great job coming up with college level questions and answering them. I
think this assignment was helpful for us because it gave us a chance to see how
professors come up with the questions we may see on quizzes. It also helped me
understand more on how I should be answering these questions.
