I took out a lot of useful tips
from the articles I read last week. One of the articles I read was “Work Hard
or Work Smart”. It didn’t have much
information, but I did take one tip of advice, which was to always make a plan
before you start the day. I really do
like this idea because college is so different from high school since you have
to really customize a schedule that works for you so that you get all your
assignments done on time.
The most
interesting thing I took from all the readings this week was from the article
“I Won’t Hire People who use Poor Grammar.” It talked about how you need good
grammar to look more professional and it’s important to use good grammar in
blogs. What really caught my attention
was the article had said “people who make fewer grammar mistakes tend to make
less mistakes in general.” At first I wasn’t sure if I believed that was true,
but as I thought about it more it seemed to make sense. For example, people who
don’t make grammar mistakes have to read a lot, study, and practice at it. All three of these things not only help you
with grammar, but also improve your knowledge and your ability to get things
done.
Lastly, the
most important quote I picked up from all these readings was from the article ‘The
Learning Knights of Bell Telephone.” “A well trained man knows how to answer
questions, an educated man knows what questions are worth asking” I like this
quote because its all true. Someone who
is filled with knowledge will have a better answer to a question then someone
with no knowledge. I like the second part of the quote a lot because how do you
really know what questions are worth asking? I personally think any question is
a good question. So how could a question
from an educated man be better than a question from someone who’s not as
educated? All in all, I believe all questions are worth asking whether you’re
educated or not because once you receive your answer you are benefiting
yourself.
